Pallets & Co. Bed Redo

Hello My Friends!
How are you going?
Here Fall is officially started and...not in the nicest way...
I love Fall when it means blu skies, colors changing in foliage, eat pumpkins and Fall treats, fall down in temperatures but...not when it means grey skies, rain and then again grey skies and rain, rain, rain...BUUU-HUUUU!!!!
But...we can't choose our Fall isn't it? LOL!!!

Anyway, finally I have my new bed set and so I would like to share it with you!
This is how it looked before, it wasn't bad but not very practical...
I could not lean against the headboard to red or watching television...

So I needed a stronger headboard and ...TA-DAAAAA!!!!
Here is it:

I spoked about this in a previous post, I worked on these pallets with my Dad and so this make my bed more precious!!!
I just loooove the way it turned out, really!!!

Now I can lean against it and puttind up my bed pillow...it's really so confortable...

I'm planning to make probably 2 small pillow and hang them on top of the headboard exactly when the head 
rests, in this way it will be even more confortable.

I can change these pillows every season for example, so my bed will have always something new and different!
That's all for today but...I already have a new and exciting project in mind...can't wait to start it!!!

Few crates in my kitchen

Hello my Friends!!!!
How are you today?
It's already Wednesday so...we are in the middle of the week...not too far from the week end...LOL!!!

Today I'm proudly showing you what hubby and me made for our kitchen...
As I've already told you...I'm totally wooden crates addicted so...we decided to make a cute little cabinet using 3 crates...

We have had so much fun cleaning and painting our crates...

Making stencil on them...

We added a bottom with wheels...

And then...I've had so much fun filling them with nice things...
The red wooden box contains my selection of tea...the tiny tea pot and the little blue box come directly from England...

I put small jars of jelly and honey...and of course...our favourite pasta...

I've added some details...the cow hanger and the kitchen towel are gifts from my friend Nico...

I made summer coasters last year and...they looks great here...

That's all...

Now...we are making one similar for the bathroom...can't wait to have it!!!!
It's fun to have something so cute with a so low budget!!!

Crazy for Crates

Hello my Friends!!!
How are you today?
Here finally, after so many days of cold and rain we have had a wonderful sunny and warm day...awesome!!!!
We really needed it!
But tomorrow...it's supposed to rain again so...we have to wait another bit of time for have Spring coming...

Anyway...today I would love to show you what hubby and me are making with old wooden crates...
My Dad found them for me for free, so...really a BIG DEAL!!! Thanks Daddy!!!
And...I can say...he founds a treasure!!!

During last months, I was totally "obsessed" or...better...totally crates addicted...
I love the fact you can take a simple old wooden crate, "clean" it a bit and...using it for make something totally new and beautiful for your house!
So, I decide that we MUST try this!!!
And, this is the first one we made:

We took a crate, cleaned it with a sandpaper trying to remove dirty (crates were used for fruits) and also "logo" printed on it.
Then, I made the color: I chose a natural brown that looks great in my dining room near the sofa...
So I mixed chocolate brown, white, black and gold and love the way it turned out!

As we are using it as storage for the wood near our fireplace, I made a stencil saying "Firewood for sale" and painted it in white...
I made the stencil in a very easy way: chose a font, print it with my printer on paper and then cut it...it's easy and fast but you can use it only once as the paper will be damaged immediately but...I need it just once so...it's perfect...LOL!!!

As I love the result...I decided to make another one to put in my laundry room for hubby's dirty work clothes and...TADA...done!!!!
And finally...I needed another one for...my yarn and crochet projects...

We made this one...whit wheels!!!!
So, when I'm sitting on my sofa, I can take it and move it easily when I need it!

It holds perfectly all my yarns for the project I'm making...in this case...I'm making a ripple rug...

I also make a caddy that holds all my crochet hooks, scissors, measuring tape, needles and...all what I need...

That's all for today...I'm really loving what we are making with the crates and we are having so much

fun doing it!!!!
