Sugar Paste

Hello!!!!
How are you today?
It's Friday again...time flies sooooo fast don't you think?

Well...few days ago at work there was a class about sugar paste decoration for our customers.
A Pastry Chef teached them to make these super cute animals for Easter...

They really were wonderful so I decided to take some pics for you too...  

Aren't they pretty???? 

Plus, today is WOMAN DAY so...many wishes to all the women all around the world!!!!

Got the flu

Hello My Friends!
How are you today?
I feel like these flowers that are hardly trying to keep the "head" trought the snow...
Yes...I've been sick for all past week...
I started to feel bad Monday morning and immediately the fever jumped up...
Then, pain everywhere, headache, sore troat, cold...wow...what a list!

I really fell so bad especially because for 5 day I wans't able to put the fever down...
This was my very first time being sick and...alone...
And believe me, it was not nice...
My parents were sick too so they didn't come to visit, anyway, also of they were not sick, I would not like that they come here...the flu is so contagious...

I am a strong girl or at least this is what I like to think about myself but, in the meantime, I don't like to be alone...never...also when I feel good, I'd love to chat, laugh, share my toughts with someone.
This is why I'm feeling so hard to live alone.
And, you could easily imagine how bad I fell...sick and alone...
Anyway...today I came back to work and the "normal" life is starting again...

The sun is shining and this is a good reason for smile!
Plus, just the day before the flu, I sewed a placemat for me, I just need to hand sew the binding and it's done.
This is my very first sewing  project since I'm here in the new home and probably...a new start of projects!
Plus, I've finally found the pattern for my new crochet blanket, I'm making a grey giant granny square and I'm loving working on it!
Next post I'll share pics!

Where is our Spring????

Hello My Friends!!!!
How are you today?
Another week is started...mmm...raining...


Here it's raining since yesterday morning, it never stopped...
It's raining and raining and raining and...it's so cold too...
So...I'm really missing Spring time...

I browsed throught the web searching for some Spring-FullColor-Bright-Happy images...

Hoping they help me find the right mood...

It's hard when all around you is grey, wet and cold...LOL!!!!
Spring mean blue skyes, sun, warm but not too hot weather, flowers...

so...where is our Spring this year????

Spring Flowers in my Garden

 Hi and Happy Sunday to all!!!

Here today it's incredibly hot and sunny and it's a pleasure to spend my time in the garden!

So, I took some pics of the flowers...

They are really so colorful and bright, it's awesome thinking that less then 2 weeks ago the weather here was still so cold... 

We really hope that this weather will not change so much in the next few weeks...you know...it's only the 9th of April today so...it's really too early for this hot...

It should be hard to come back to rain and cold...

We will see...

What a day...!!!

What a busy and stressful day at work today... Wow...I fell like something was exploded in my head...a terrible headache and...a gazillion of things to do... The more things I accomplished...the more things I still have to do... Finally my day at office is ended, now I'm at home trying to get a bit of relax! Palm Trees Mania

Hi and Happy Sunday! It's officially...Spring is here... :O) I can say this because my hubby got the yard fever and he gets it every year from Spring to late Autumn... He works every day lots of hours in a factory so...he can't wait to come home and...get a bit of relax in the yard... He really likes any kind of flower, plant, tree and he loves to work in the yard.

I think this is a kind of anti-stress theraphy that fortunately doesn't requires medicines!!!

This year...he got the "Palm Trees Mania"...he planted lots of new palm trees few days ago...all around the yard and I have to say they looks great!

Palm Trees always make me think to the sun, sea...vacation so they really make me happy also if I think that...he really planted too much of them...

But...shhh...please...don't let him know...LOL!!!!

Spring has Sprung!!!!

Today here it's a wonderful, sunny and incredibly warm day, Spring has really Sprung today after so many days of cold and rain!!!

So, I went to my yard and took some pics for you few minutes ago!

There are some friends that came to visit us this morning: very busy bees...

A new quilt for my fireplace

Hi!
I started a new wall quilt some months ago and since this morning...it was an UFO left alone on a chair on my sewing room...
I started it thinking that I'd need something new to hang on my fireplace but...as sometimes happens...I start a new project with a lot of enthusiasm and then...I've lost this enthusiasm...on the road...

I started a gazillion of other projects after this...sky over my head is...full of UFO's...LOL!!!!

But this morning...I got up with a renewed enthusiasm, I took my centre medallion and...I start to sew the zig zag around the appliquè!
I worked on it for about 2 hours and I have to say that...I'm happy with the result...

Actually...I've made also some blocks, this will be a wallhanging with autumn colors theme...
In the next days, I'll go ahead working on this project and...please, follow here if you would like to see the final result...

If you would like to post a comment here...you're very welcome...if I know that someone is following my WIP...I surely can't not finish it!!!! LOL!!!!

A little gift for Mom

My Mom few days ago bouhgt herself a new cell phone because the old one broke...

I tought that it should be nice if she also have a new cell phone holder!

So...I took some piece of wool, felt, embroidery threads and I made for her this one!

Today I'm going to give it to her and...I really hope she'll like it!!!

I'm a bit nervous... :O)

French windows

During our holidays in Provence this past summer, I took lots and lots of beautiful pics...
Provence is really amazing, full of wonderful colors everywhere!
But...the thing that was most eye catching for me were...the windows!!!
Well...the windows in Provence (mostly there but also in other French regions) are really gorgeous!!!
So colorful and with beautiful flowers displaied on them!
And the fun part is that all the turists are so interested in the windows and I bet that no one come home from France withouth a beautiful pic of at least 1 window!!! LOL!!!
Some times, in front of a nice window...I had to wait because there were lots of other turists that are taking pics...LOL!!!
Now...my question is:what the French people think about us turists that can wait also 10-15 minutes for take a pic of a theyr window???? LOL!!!!
If there is some French that is reading this post...I'd really love to read a comment...LOL!!!!
