Last week end...

Hello my friends!!!!
how are you going?
I'm fine and another week went away...wow...

Last week end I've had so much fun...
Saturday I went to the sea with my Mom...
I strongly needed a day away, sun, sea, relax and...a blue blue sky!!!
We went once again to Menton (France) and it was awesome!!!

The weather was really beautiful, sunny but not too hot, about 26 degrees...perfect!!!
As you can see in the pic...people were doing exercices near the beach...totally awesome!
Not the same to go to the gym isn't it??? LOL!!!

We didn't went to the beach...we just walked in front of the sea and through the beautiful french shops...

We started our day with a delicious "Marocchino Cofee"...

And go ahead with awesome fishes and grilled vegetables for lunch!!!
They looks awesome in this pic but...believe me...they tasted better!!!!

Ha, ha...Mommy and me...
I love these kind of days...just girls...LOL!!!!
Dad stayed at home but...he paid for our lunch...thank you Daddy!!!! LOL!!!!

Then, Sunday...I've had another fun day...totally different but...I loved it so much too!!!!

My friend Luciana come here and we decided to sew something cute...
We chose a really pretty project we found on Pinterest...through the gazillions of pins we have...LOL!!!
And we started to sew...

The project is a really cute table topper but...I'll let you know more about it in another post...
We chose different colors for the same project and this is really fun because you can see how different they look!!!
Now mine is ready to be quilted and I'm planning to work on it soon!
Can't wait to see it finished and displaied on my table!!!

She made some delicious "heart muffins" for our sweet break...

With all that work and chatting...we needed something sweet...LOL!!!
So...that was my past week end...we will see whom the one that is starting tomorrow will bring me...

My Holidays on the French Riviera part 2: Old town, Menton by Night and...FOOD!!!!

Hello My friends!!!
How are you today?
here there are other pictures of my holidays...
You can see a mosaic of pictures of the old town.
Beautiful little alleys  inside the town are accessibles by old stairs...

Each house is so caracteristic with old trees, flowers, colorful windows...

And...the town by night...is so beautiful with his lights, music, open markets on the roads and  lots of people...

It's so nice to walk in the night, the air is fresh and you can feel the smell of the foods...pizza, fishes, french fries, pasta, crepes...and you can't wait to stop in a cute restaurant and...try them all!!!!

My Holidays on the French Riviera part 1: The Sea

Hello my friends!!!
Last week finally I've had some days off to work and so hubby and I spent our vacations on the French Riviera in a beautiful town called Menton.
It's only about  2 hours and half drive from our town but...believe me...it's all another world...

First because there is the sea...LOL...our town is surrounded by mountains...
Then, as this town is part of the Cote d'Azur and it'ls also part of the Provence, it has the typical  look of the French towns...really well trimmed, you can find flowers everywhere, small bistrots and cute restaurants and...the sea is wonderful!

We enjoyed so much our stay there! we only go a couple of hours one afternoon on the beach, it was hot and with lots of people so...we decided to walk...
And...we walked soooo much, lots and lots of kilometres...LOL!!!!
There are beautiful "promenades" there, so relaxing near the sea...

So...our days were as follow...more or less...
We got up not too much early in the morning, we wore our walking shoes, shorts and tank top (hubby a T-short...LOL) and we went to have our breakfast in a nice italian bar...
Cappuccino and croissants were wonderful!

We walked for about 2 hours, then we come back to the town for lunch that usually was ice cream...

Then we come back to the hotel for have a bit of rest and we did another walk in the afternoon...

Then we come back again to the hotel for a shower and for get ready for the evening-night...
The nights were magics...thousands of people everywhere, restaurants open till late, music, open market near the beach...

I think this is a little paradise not too much far from us...

In effect, this is our first holiday there but...we go there since we were...younger...LOL...about 20 years ago...

Every summer we went there 2 or 3 times...also if only for 1 day...we can't miss it!!!!

In the next posts, I'll show you the old town, Menton by night and the delicious food!!!

Happy Saturday!

Hi! I just have few minutes today... I'm in the middle of the change of season for clothes... Mmm...I really hate do it...wash all the winter clothes and put them away...clean and refresh all the furnitures, bring all the spring- summer clothes and iron them... It's really a big work, especially if you must do it during a wonderful week end like this one... So...while I'm doing it...I'll try to keep my mind away with some nice memories... For example, the picture above, was taken by me 2 years ago during our holidays to the south of France...what a nice time we have had... Hope you are having a more fun week end than mine...LOL!!! So...happy week end to all!!!

French windows

During our holidays in Provence this past summer, I took lots and lots of beautiful pics...
Provence is really amazing, full of wonderful colors everywhere!
But...the thing that was most eye catching for me were...the windows!!!
Well...the windows in Provence (mostly there but also in other French regions) are really gorgeous!!!
So colorful and with beautiful flowers displaied on them!
And the fun part is that all the turists are so interested in the windows and I bet that no one come home from France withouth a beautiful pic of at least 1 window!!! LOL!!!
Some times, in front of a nice window...I had to wait because there were lots of other turists that are taking pics...LOL!!!
Now...my question is:what the French people think about us turists that can wait also 10-15 minutes for take a pic of a theyr window???? LOL!!!!
If there is some French that is reading this post...I'd really love to read a comment...LOL!!!!

My holidays: Provence - France

Finally...my hubby and I have had our holidays...

I love so much travel and my favourite land is...USA...

But...this year, unfortunately...it was not possible to go there...

so...we chose...PROVENCE!

It was soooo beautiful, just a week but...more intense...

we traveled every day with our car and every day we saw something new and gorgeous!

Provence is a wonderful place, you can find everything there: sea, mountains, relax and...LAVENDER!!!

We found tons of lavender's fields and...they are great!!!

Now we are at home again but in our mind we still have the images of those wonderful places and in our nose the smell of lavender!!!

Finalmente io e mio marito siamo riusciti a regalarci una settimana di vancaza...

Io amo viaggiare e la mia meta preferita sono gli USA ma...quest'anno purtroppo non era possibile...

Così abbiamo scelto la Provenza.

E' stato bellissimo, una sola settimana ma molto intensa...

Abbiamo viaggiato in posti diversi ogni giorno con la nostra macchina.

La Provenza è veramente bellissima, trovi tutto: mare, montagna, relax e divertimento e soprattutto...la lavanda!!!

Abbiamo visto campi immensi di lavanda...un vero spettacolo!

Ora siamo tornati a casa ma abbiamo nella nostra mente le immagini di quei posti meravigliosi e ancora sentiamo il profumo di quei campi di lavanda...
