How are you today?
Holidays season is almost endend and I'm enjoying my latest days off to work...
So...I'm going ahead with my Granny Basket Tote project...
I love the way the panels are turning out and I'm thinking that they should be perfect for a blanket too!!!!
Surely the granny basket is a smaller project and so easier to make and finish but I have a blanket in my future of crochet for sure!!!! LOL!!!!

 Hello and happy Saturday to all my friends!!!!
How are you today?
This morning is a busy morning...pressing, cleaning, laundry...mmm...a busy and boring morning...LOL!!!
So, I gave myself a break: a hot cup of coffee and...some fun browsing...

Lately I discovered my passion for crochet...it's fun, it's beautiful, you can do it anywhere but...it's sooooo addicting...LOL!!!!

I just LOVE all the wonderful and colorful yarns and the incredibly eye catching projects you can do with a hook and some scraps of yarn...

I found a cute selection of wonderful crochet projects  on the web and hope you like them...

I just would love to have the time for try them all!!!!!
But...in the meantime...iron is calling me...LOL!!!

Another Shawl...DONE!!!!

Hello!!!!!
how are you today?
I would like to show  you my new shawl, I've completed the Alpine Shawl I spoked you in a post some days ago...
I loved so much to make it, it took me 2 weeks and I only worked on it in the evening so...it was fast to make...

I absolutely love this shawl, it's so beautiful and soft and I think it will be perfect for Autumn...
The color is perfect to wear with jean and add a sophisticated touch to your look...

It's soft and warm and wrap perfectly around your shoulder or neck, this yarn (part wool and pasrt bamboo) is perfect for this kind of shawl I think...

I love pineapples, they are easy to make and look great!
And the fringes, are so unusual, not the classic fringes...they are fun!

Can't wait for fresh temperatures for start to wear it!!!! LOL!!!!!
Now...going to search another project...I'm crochet-holic...LOL!!!

15 days of Diet: DAY FOUR + a new crochet project!

Hello!!!
how are you today?
well...first of all...let me say that...I LOOSE 1 KILOS!!!!!YAYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!
This morning I got up and...I was so worry about checking the weight and...surprise...1 kilos less!!!!!
So...it's easier to go ahead now...LOL!!!

Today was my 4th day of diet and...this was the menu:
BREAKFAST: mmm...it's always the same...
125 gr of natural yogurt mixed with 1 tablespoon of cornflakes and 1 tablespoon of muesli with 1 apple cut in small pieces + a cup of white tea.
I could change my breakfast, for example I can have a glass of milk with barley coffe plus 2 rusk bread with jam or 1 natural yogurt with 2 biscuits and fresh fruit but actually...I like more my breakfast...

1 cup of white tea in the middle of the morning

LUNCH: ok...also today I cooked 80 gr of integral pasta with ricotta cheese and cherry tomatoes plus basil...and 1 cup of white tea...I love this so much...
There are lots of other things I can eat but...Idon't like some of them at all, or...I can't find some of them...or...some are not quick to do so...I'm choosing what I like the most and it's easier and fast to prepare!

DINNER: I cooked sea bass again with a salade of carrots, corns, french beans and tomatoes plus 2 rice gallettes and 1 slice of melon.

So...also the 4th day is..."done" and...I feel good and...happy...LOL!!!

Now...ok...I'm on diet but...I'm also doing other things...not only eat less...LOL!!!
I started a new crochet shawl, here it is:

When I saw it...I fell in love with it and...had to try it!!!

So...I started it and this is what I've done so far:

It's similar to the grey shawl I made some months ago but this time I made it with wool so...it should be perfect for Autumn and winter I think!
I love the pineapple motif, it seems so intricate but it's easy to do and the result is awesome!

I chose a beautiful yarn, part wool and part bamboo, so soft and the color is a shade of periwinkle...I love it!

Half Granny Square Shawl

Hi and Happy Sunday to all!
Yesterday I finished my 1st Shawl ever and I'm so excited to show it to you!!!
It's more than a shawlette than a shawl as it's not very big but I'm so delighted about the result!

I had 4 balls of this very "Fall" yarn in my stash and so I decided to go ahead with them.
I can't find one more to the shop where I bought them 2 years ago and this caused that my shawl is actually a shawlette...LOL!!!!

I found on Raverly a free and easy pattern for this half granny square shawl and I fell in love with it!

I've just added a nice border to the original pattern and this is the result!

A new project

Hi and good Saturday my friends!!!

My long week end of relax is going well and I'm really enjoying it!!!This morning...I got a fresh and wonderful manicure, I'll show you it later...

As I found that crochet really gives me peace, joy and happiness...LOL...I started a new project!

I looked through my yarn stash and I found this beautiful variegated yarn with all the shades of autumn...
Ok...I know that we are really so close to spring but...this yarn really seemed so perfect to me for this project!

So...I started to crochet it and I'm loving the way is growing up through my hands!

This surely will help me to improve my crocheting skills and get a bit of practice for a future project that...I've already chose...

So...I have to work fast on this and...start that one...LOL!!!

What I made this week end...

Hello my friends!
The week end is almost finished but I have to say that I'm satisfied of all the things I accomplished... :O)
I cleaned the house, did the laudry (OMG...how many things...LOL), I baked bugie and...last but not least at all...I made this wonderful crochet wrap for myself!!!!

I totally love the way it turned out...it's my first crochet wrap (well...it's almost my first in anything in crochet...LOL) and I can say that I'm sooo happy with the result!

I used a beautiful variegated and very soft wool, it has shades of grey, green, lilac, and pale pink and it's so confortable!

I can't wait to wear it tomorrow at work!!!!

Ok...now...I'm already thinking to my next project...

My Grandma sooooo old shawl...

Hi!

This is the shawl my Grandma made for my Mom more than 30 years ago...

It's soooo old or...soooo vintage if you'd prefere...LOL!!!

Now...my Mom is used to wear this shawl almost every day in winter when for example she needs to go outside maybe in the garden to pick something or to the garage or maybe when she reads or watches television on the couch...

I have to say that probably this shawl was not made with the most wonderful yarn of the world, in fact I think my Grandma used an inexpensive yarn but this shawl is soooo resistant...

My Mom wash it once a week in the washing machine and...it's still here...

Now...my Mom would like to have a new one and so...as she knows that I'm a very expert crocheter (more than 2 weeks ago I started learning crochet...LOL) she asked me to make her a new shawl following the patter of this one...

Wow!!!

I watched it and studied it a bit and...it doesn't seems too much difficult to duplicate...

But...how much time it will requires?

mmm...mmm...

Does someone of you ever made a shawl like this?

This morning we bought a nice and inexpensive yarn (as I'm not sure I will be able to make it)...and...I'm going to start it!

I have the pleasure to introduce you...

"Fumy"!!!

This cute and sweet little giraffe is my VERY FIRST attempt to make a amigurumi...

I have to say that...I'm so happy with the result...

I just fell in love for amigurumi and when I found this super cute pattern at Irene Shop ...I can't resist!!!
Surely...Fumy will not be alone for long time...I have to try something else immediately...too much fun!!!!

I think Amigurumi are great for gifts and also for have some hours of fun crocheting!!

Yesterday I made this with a friend and we chatted all the afternoon and laughed so much as it was the 1st attempt for both of us!

Learn to crochet: part two

Hi!

this is what I learn last week about crocheting!

I just love those small squares!

Ok...I know...there aren't perfect...they are so far to the perfection but, anyway...I'm proud of what I teached to myself... Now...my mind is flying thinking of what I could do with those squares...

My first tought was...a afghan...

Usually...when I start new projects...I'm not able to make things easy and quick...I always have to start something big and very time consuming...

And so... I have soooo much UFO's...LOL!!!!

But...those squares seems to be perfect for a blanket or afghan...what do you think?

Now...in the meantime I'll work on them...I would love to make some crochet flowers...I found some very nice patterns to try...

I'll let you know!!!

What a mess...

Ummm...This morning I decided to try to crochet a bit...I've in mind the Granny square so...I found a nice ball of cotton yarn and...took my crochet hook...I was ready...nothing of more easy isn't it???

Ok...but...I started the ball in the wrong way (now...I know it was the wrong way...) and now...you can see what I have in my hands...
CAOS...MESS...DISASTER!!!!
I need to make the ball again but...I'm not able to do it at all... GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!
Any suggestions please?
I know, I know...I'm more than a quilter and sewer than a crocheter (is this the right words?) but...this should be really so much fun if I don't need to crochet now...LOL!!!

My new scarf!

Hi and Happy Sunday to all!!!
I've just finished to knit my new scarf and I love how it turns up!
I chose a grey wool, I just knit and purl so...a really easy one!

But...I would love to add a sweet touch so I made 2 hearts felt with some rhynestones and I sewed them on both endinds of the scarf...

I'll wear it this afternoon as it's a very sunny but very very cold day here...

Knitting a new scarf

Hi!
yesterday I've had a very stressful day at work...
When I come home...I really needed a bit of relax...
So...after dinner and a long shower...I looked throught my yarns and my colorful knitting needles and I found this beautiful grey wool.
It's 100% merino wool, so soft and warm...

I weared my pijama, take my place on the couch near the lightfire and...started to knit a scarf for myself...
What a nice way to take a bit of relax at the end of a "black" day!
And soon...I'll have a new scarf to wear!!!!

A little gift for Mom

My Mom few days ago bouhgt herself a new cell phone because the old one broke...

I tought that it should be nice if she also have a new cell phone holder!

So...I took some piece of wool, felt, embroidery threads and I made for her this one!

Today I'm going to give it to her and...I really hope she'll like it!!!

I'm a bit nervous... :O)
