Grandmather's Flower Garden Runner

Hello my Friends!!!!
How are you?
How is your Summer going?
I didn't write so much lately...well...really...I didn't write at all...LOL!!!
So Today I would love to show you what I'm working on...

I'm making a Grandmathe's Flower Garden runner for my kitchen table...
I chose fall colors so I have to finish it before Fall...LOL!!!
I always loved so much this pattern but I know it's a bit tricky...
I'm sewing it all by hand using some plastic templates I bought several years ago...

I have to say that...I love hand sew...I find it so relaxing and I can bring these little hexagons with me everywhere and work on them easily...
In effect lately I didn't sew so much...I needed to start to sew again and this seems  the perfect project!

Few years ago I made myself a kind of portable workstation for hand sew or embroidery and I'm finding it so useful too!

Hope to be able to post my progresses soon!
Does anyone have any idea how to finish this runner?
I mean...I never made  Grandmather's flower garden and I know it's a bit tricky add batting and backing because of the hexagons...
Any help will be soooo appreciated!!!!!

Enjoying wonderful weather

Hello My Friends!!!!
How are you today?
It's Monday again...GRRR...and a new and busy week started...
But...we can keep our Sunday's memories with us for all the week...

Yesterday the weather was awesome here and...so it's today...
So we went to our mountains...
The scenery was gorgeous!!!

The lake was sooooo blue...and so relaxing...
But the sun was so hot so...I've enjoied a little walk around it...throught the trees...

Surely it's not usual to find a wonderful day like yesterday...especially during the week end...LOL!!!
So we enjoied every single minute of it...

Live music was fun too!!!!

The sun was hot but...there was a summer breeze that was...perfect!!!

15 Days of Diet: DAY TREE

Hello!!!
Day three is here...LOL!!!!
Ok, let's start with the menu...
BREAKFAST: always the same...125 gr of natural yogurt mixed with a tablespoon of muesli and 1 tablespoon of cornflakes plus 1 appled cutted in small pieces...and of course...a cup of white tea...
I'm goin to love this breakfast and this is incredible as in the past...mmm...20 years I think...my breakfast was always the same: hot milk with coffee and cornflakes...wow...what a change...LOL!!!!

1 cup of white tea in the middle of the morning

LUNCH: salade of carrots and cherry tomatoes with small pieces of feta cheese and 2 rice gallettes...so delicious! Don't forget a cup of white tea...LOL!!!

Another cup of white tea in the middle of the afternoon...
And...OMG...a colleague brought to office a wonderful cake...with cream, chocolate and biscuits...it looked sooooooo yummy and soooo delicious and...I said...NO THANKS...!!!!!! what a pain... ;O)

DINNER: I cooked turkey with rosemary, sage, onion  and some powder spices, plus salt, pepper and...some pieces of lime...I never cooked it before and I have to say that it tasted so good!
Plus...a green salade with tomatoes and 2 slices of melon.

After dinner we went out for 1 hour of fit walking and...I feel great now!
But...tomorrow...mmm...will be the day that for the first time I'll check my weight...
I really hope that...I'm loosing something but...I'll let you know tomorrow...
Please...wish me good luck...LOL!!!!

My Lacey Shawl Finally Done and...a new bag!

 

Hi and Happy Sunday to all!!!
Finally...I can show you my shawl!!!
It has been finished about 3 weeks ago but...here the weather is always so rainy so...it was so hard "combine" a sunny day plus hubby at home to make pics...LOL!!!
Anyway...yesterday afternoon...we got a bit of sun...so...this is me wearing my new shawl!!!

I have to say that I'm soooo happy about  the result, this is my very first lacey shawl, it required lots and lots of FUN hours to crochet it but...I'm happy I spent my time in this way!

It's so versatile so you can wear it on a tank top and jeans but also on a elegant dress for a special occasion!

In effect, I'll have a wedding on the end of July and this would be so perfect on the grey and black dress I bought...

And this is the new bag I made for myself too...

I made one similar past summer and I used it all the time.

I love this shape, the bamboo handles, it's so roomy and the fabric I chose is so nice.

It's similar to linen, with stamps in purple and lime green, so summery!!!

Spring Flowers in my Garden

 Hi and Happy Sunday to all!!!

Here today it's incredibly hot and sunny and it's a pleasure to spend my time in the garden!

So, I took some pics of the flowers...

They are really so colorful and bright, it's awesome thinking that less then 2 weeks ago the weather here was still so cold... 

We really hope that this weather will not change so much in the next few weeks...you know...it's only the 9th of April today so...it's really too early for this hot...

It should be hard to come back to rain and cold...

We will see...

Today I need to see bright colors and for me...yellow is the brighest one...

I love yellow, it makes me so happy and make me in the right mood when I see it...

So...hope you like my yellow selection!

I need this...NOW!!!!

Ok...I'm here...in the house...in my bed...
Outside is strongly raining...the temperatures fell down...it doens't seem a nice summer night at all...

So...I would love...no...not correct...I REALLY NEED to be there, on the wonderful beach of the picture...

Anybody else would like to be there????
