Hello my Friends!!!!!!!
How are you today?
Here it's a cloudy and cold Sunday...in effect we are expecting snow...
I really hope that...it will not snow here...ok...it can snow in the mountain but...not here...LOL!!!

I love snow but...I would like to be able to take my car out of the garage and...if it snow...I can't do it...

Anyway...I need to work on new projects at this time for keep my mind busy and also for relax myself...

I saved tons and tons of wonderful projects on Pinterest but...I feel soooo much lazy and demotivated lately and...I didn't start anything new...

Now...I've got 3 big big balls of a wonderful grey yarn and...I decided to make myself a blanket...
I found crocheting so much relaxing and so...I'm going ahead with this idea.
I'm browsing the web for searching a pattern that I like and...I found  tons of them.
But one particularly catch my attention: it's called brain dead and...the name...says soooo much about it...LOL!!!!
You have to make a chain, then the first row in a way and...from the second to the last row...you always work the same way...LOL!!!!!
Can you find something easier than this????
And...it also looks  very pretty!
So now...I'm going to start it and then I'll let you know how it is going...

What are you doing today?
Anything exciting? Any new project?
I'd love to hear from you!!!
In the meantime, I wish you all a lovely Sunday!!!!!
Hugs, Dany.

Happily Crocheting

Hello my friends!!!!
How are you?
Hope everything is ok for you all... :O)

Winter is still here...cold temperatures and snow all around...
So this is the perfect time for...stay inside and do our favourite crafting...
During these cold days, I love to stay inside, near the fireplace, with a cup of hot tea (sometimes...hot chocolate...LOL) and...crochet!
I found it so relaxing...
So, I would love to show you some projects I did lately...

Here there are some doilies...
I have to say that I've never be a big fan of crochet doilies...my grandma made them but...always lace doilies with really tin white cotton...not my style at all...LOL...
But making them with colorful cotton and  4mm hook...well...I think they look nice!!!
So, THIS IS  the free pattern I used...

Then, I made this one with chunky yarn...
It remembers me a snowflake and I think it's so snowy...
I love it for winter time...
I used THIS FREE PATTERN...
For the 1st time...I made crochet buntings...
They are so much fun to make and looks great in every room of your house!!!

And...last...this is my work in progress project...a ripple rug...

I loooove ripples but...never made them before...tought they were so hard to make...
But...I found THIS TUTORIAL from Lucy Attic24, it's so easy to follow...
And I'm enjoying make my rug...

Hope you like my projects and that my links for free patterns and tutorials can inspire you... :O)
Happy crocheting and...Happy Crafting!!!!
Have a lovely week end.
XOXO, Dany

Snowy Crochet Cowl Tutorial

Hello and happy Monday to all!!!!
Yesterday we have had a loooooooot of snow and so...I finished my crochet cowl...
Just in time for wear it today to go to office...it's warm, soft, cozy and...perfect for winter!!!!

It's easy and fast to make so, I decided to write here my own pattern, in case someone would like to make it too...

Pattern:
I used a very bulky yarn and a N  (10mm ) crochet hook.
Gauge is not critical for this project...

Chain 55 and join with  slip stitch.
As you surely will use another kind of yarn, measure the chain around your neck, it should be large enough to be confortable but not too big otherwise it will not keep you warm.
You are working in the round so, try very hard to not twist your chain.
Chain 2 and then Half Double Crochet in any chain till the end of the row, join with slip stitch.
Go ahead in this way until your piece measures about 9" (22.5 cm).
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Now, chain 75 and fasten off.
Using a security pin, pull your chain through your stitches, at about 1.5" from the top of your cowl and...TADAAAAAA!!!!
You're done!!!
You're now ready to go outside and...stay warm in a cold winter!!!!!
Happy Crocheting!!!!
XOXO, Dany

A New Challenge

Hi!!!

It's Monday again and so...it's time for a new challenge for myself...LOL!!!

I'm a crochet addicted lately and so, as I'm a beginner, every new project is a challenge for me! But this one...wow...it's a big one!!!!

When I saw this amazing shawl...I immediately decided that...I have to make one for my self!

I found the free pattern HERE and in no time...I went to the yarn shop and bought a beautiful yarn that is a mix of cotton and viscose. The color is awesome, a very bright pearl grey...

I found that the pattern is easy to follow also for a beginner but requires lots of hours of work and surely you can't make it while you are watching television...or at least...I can't! But this is the thing I love the most...I have to stay thuned with the pattern, it requires all my concentration and attention and so...while I'm making it...I can't think to anything else...job, housework, cooking, laundry...
I found this soooo mind relaxing!!!!!

Ok...this is what I've already done...I think it's turning out cute and I can't wait to wear it!

But I think I still need ..."few" hours of work on it...LOL!!!!

I'll keep you posted about my progresses!!!

Have a nice Monday and a great start of week!!!!

Hugs!!!

Now...it's Sunday but...I have to iron a mountain of clothes...sob...sob...
I think I'll skip some of them and...I'll start a new pattern!!!!

So...what are you doing today?

My Grandma sooooo old shawl...

Hi!
This is the shawl my Grandma made for my Mom more than 30 years ago...
It's soooo old or...soooo vintage if you'd prefere...LOL!!!
Now...my Mom is used to wear this shawl almost every day in winter when for example she needs to go outside maybe in the garden to pick something or to the garage or maybe when she reads or watches television on the couch...
I have to say that probably this shawl was not made with the most wonderful yarn of the world, in fact I think my Grandma used an inexpensive yarn but this shawl is soooo resistant...
My Mom wash it once a week in the washing machine and...it's still here...
Now...my Mom would like to have a new one and so...as she knows that I'm a very expert crocheter (more than 2 weeks ago I started learning crochet...LOL) she asked me to make her a new shawl following the patter of this one...
Wow!!!
I watched it and studied it a bit and...it doesn't seems too much difficult to duplicate...
But...how much time it will requires?
mmm...mmm...
Does someone of you ever made a shawl like this?
This morning we bought a nice and inexpensive yarn (as I'm not sure I will be able to make it)...and...I'm going to start it!
So, please, wish me good luck!!!!
Have a nice Saturday!!!!

This week end: Learn to crochet

Hi to all!!!
Finally...it's Saturday again!!!!
It was a very hard week at work for me and so...I need to relax and the better way I know for relax myself is...do my crafts!!!

Well...this week end I NEED to teach myself to crochet!!!
I absolutely LOVE all the wonderful things you can create with some colorful yarns and a crochet hook...amazing!!!

So, this morning I went to the open market and I bought some cute and colorful yarns, then I found some crochet hooks that I already have (they came from my Grandma...) and...I'm ready to start!

It's so hard here around to find someone that teach crochet so...I found some video lessons on you tube, I bought a book...I found some tutorial on internet and some easy pattern and...3...2...1...LET'S GO!!!!

I'll keep you posted about my progress...

Did someone of you learn to crochet in this way? do you think it's possible?

If you have any tips or suggestions for me, please, post them here, they surely will be so helpful!!!

I have to say that both my Grandmothers were so good in crochet and also in knitting but...when I was a child...I was not interested at all to learn this...

So...I'm really so disappointed with myself because...now...both my Grandmathers passed away and I loose forever the possibilty to learn from them...

Ok...I'm ready to start my full immersion...
Which plans do you have for this week end?
Have you all a wonderful week end!!!!
