One to keep and...one to give

Hello my Friends!!!
How are you?
Are you ready for the week end?
finally my working week is ended and Friday night is my favourite time of the week at all...still so far from Monday and...still the whole week end to live!!!!

I finished my crochet placemat and I love the way it turned out...I love this neutral color...it's perfect for all season...

So...this one is to keep...I made it for myself...just for the love of making it!

Now...I'm looking for another fun crochet project to start!!!!!
I've finally got my sewing machine back...YAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!
It went away for just one week but...believe me...it seemed a year for me!!! LOL!!!!
So...I made a gift to give...

I made this cute and so useful fabric clutch for my friend Nico's Birthday!

I used 2 fat quartes of coordinating batiks and this is the result.

This is really so useful and I'm going to make one for myself too now that I've developed the pattern!

It's perfect for hold all these little "girls' secret things"...

A day like Christmas

Hello!
How are you today?
A new week is already started... :O(
But...I've had a very nice week end, especially Saturday...
In fact Saturday my dear friend Nico come here to visit me and we spent the whole day sewing together and chatting...it was really a beautiful day!!!

She gave me some wonderful Birthday gifts...
She made for me The beautiful crochet acorn pictured above...
Isn't it sooooo cute????

It's a yarn "case", you can put your yarn inside when you are crocheting or knitting and it keep it safe and clean... I loooove it!!!! :O)

Then she gave me this BIG ball of yarn and some delicious coffee chocolates...
I've already chose what I'll crochet with it and...the chocolate sure...will help...LOL!!!

So, thank you Nico for the wonderful time we've had together and for all your gifts!!!!

Wow...today it's my Birthday and...I can't believe this...I'm 40 YEARS OLD!!!!!!!
It's hard to think that...so many years are already flew away...in my mind...I feel like I'm only 15 years old...LOL!!!!

Dylan Dog celebrates my birthday!!!!

Hi to all!!!

Well...I know...the theme of this post sounds a bit...crazy so...I start to the beginning...

Probably most of you doens't know Dylan Dog, especially the not italian readers of this blog...

Dylan Dog is a nightmare's investigator!

Sure...you understood right!!!

He works every day with ghosts, monsters, death people, sometimes also aliens...his cases are always so strange and much more strange is the people he meets...

He has a very funny assistant, he's the copy of Groucho Marx and he's funny and crazy like him too!

But Dylan...oh...he's a beautiful old boy...he always fell in love with some wonderful girl...he had lots of girls and...he really loved them all!!!

Every time!!!!

It's a boy like...it's hard to find now...especially in the real life...

At this point, you surely know that he's not a real person but...a comic...

Every month in the newspaper kiosk you can find a new adventure of this fascinating always young boy!

THIS IS MY WHOLE COLLECTION

I have 196 of those books and so this means that I started to read it more then 16 years ago!!!

I just fell in love with him the 1st time I found his little book in the kiosk and...never stopped to read it, month after month...year after year!

So...you can easly understand my surprise and my...happyness today!!!

I went to the local shop for buy my copy of the book, I took it, I paid it and...when I went outside on the road...I took a look at the cover of this month ...and...WOW!!!!!!

It says...12 OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And...my birthday it's exactly the...12th of October!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok...it says also "The day of the werewolf" so my hubby is a bit worry about this...LOL!!!

YEAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

I can't believe this!!!

Yes...ok...I know he's not really celebrating my birthday but...I would like to think he is!!!!!!

So...thank you Dylan for this great birthday gift!!!

It's the 1st one for me this year...and I hope...to get more others in the next few days!!!!
